three things.

... that I brought back with me from Key West.

A pretty sliver bracelet..
The first one I bought broke as soon as I stepped out of the shop.. what a bummmmer! I'm happy I didn't pay all that much for it, but the good news is that this one's holding up strong!

A Key West Happy Hour ring, that I'm currently obsessed with..

It's called a Happy Hour ring instead of a cocktail ring, because it flips!
So.. it's two for one ;)

(I spy Tuon-the-photo-bomber in this next picture)

And my third thing.. a piece of coral that Thomas picked up and gave me while we were walking on along the beach.

crank up the heat.

It's over 100 degrees today, so naturally I had the urge to crank my over to 350 degrees and bake. A sane person might spend their afternoon at the pool, or perhaps making popsicles. But alas, no.. I bake.

it's only June?!
sweet mother.

some of my favorites

And finally here are just a few of my favorites from our trip.. the rest of them I've loaded up into my flickr account which you can view by clicking here.

hahaa! this one kills me..

I'm not going to lie, I'm slightly obsessed with this picture of Mollie in her pretty red dress. I love everything about this picture.

I turned around while we were walking and told them to say cheese.. I got this instead :)
love it.

goodbye pretty ocean.

our last night

We spent our last sunset of Key West at The Top, it's a the roof top of the Crown Plaza and the view is amazing.

From the roof top, it also shows just how small Key West actually is.. kinda freighting, and we were more than happy that our Belleville vacation curse didn't bring any hurricanes during our stay ;)

I had to include this last picture because it cracked us up!!
Now, in their defense, I didn't tell them I was taking the picture. We were all standing around talking and once I snapped it, we lost it with all three of their facial expressions, could they be any happier to see another sunset? ha!
We saw a lot of sunsets and it looks like we're having the worse time, but that's far from the truth.

caption: everybody's so happy to be watching the sunset.. again.
or maybe a better one.. nobody wants to leave just yet.

a swim with the fishies.

Snorkeling was something I knew that I wanted to do, but at the same time I was slightly terrified.
We knew that these disposal underwater camera's weren't going to yield the sharp pretty pictures of my canon, but at the same time I wanted to document the event and left my big girl camera safely on land seven miles back. Let me type that again, seven miles. Seven. Now I don't like it when I can't touch the bottom when the waves crash on you at the beach.. and now we're seven miles out.

Just a 45min boat ride... out to sea.. to swim with fish.
But we did it and lived to tell the tale, and I'm so frickin proud of myself!

mama overcame her fear of Jaws.. here she is in the MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN:

See, at this point, nothing grabbed her by the ankles and dragged her to the
depths of the ocean.. thank goodness.

Thomas on the other hand was in his element.
That diving fool.

Such a good one of miss mollie :) Cullen get's all the credit for this photo.

See, clearly this is me and Thomas.. ha, and I am in fact snorkeling along the reef.

And I'm so happy that my dad took these from the boat because I'm quite proud of myself and I now have proof that I did it.

 what a successful day.
