oh spring.. you're so pretty!

Uh can we just TALK about how beautiful these flowers are?! I was in aww of them outside of my work when they first started blooming but when the green leaves showed up on these pretty trees earlier this week I was so in love.

They're so pretty they make these iPhone pictures look goooooood.

There's just something about the combination of pink and green! I just love it.

Of course thanks to the frost these babies are already gone.. spring you're such a tease, so pretty for such a short time!

one darn cute family.

So with my pretty new camera Lar asked me if I wouldn't mind taking some family photos of them. I may have answered a bit too quickly because I'm fairly certain I cut her off mid-sentance with a YES!
I'm SO thrilled with how these turned out! Paul and Lara have a beautiful backyard and it's in full bloom right now.
Here's the adorable Dudley family!

Love them, so much!
And I'm so proud of these photos!

my new baby!

I bought a new camera! And I'm SO in love!! I've been thinking about upgrading my camera for a bit and I've been researching what would be a good next step for me. However, on a whim last week I got on craigslist, just to look and my jaw dropped. Posted was not the camera I was looking at upgrading to but the next level of DSLRs-- she was the mac daddy camera of cameras AND within my budget price range.
I freaked. And ran to Thomas.

Four hours later and a thirty minute drive to Manchester, I grilled a guy about his camera and stood in the parking lot of a Waffle House taking pictures and inspecting every INCH of this camera. Needless to say I took her home with me, and I negotiated the beautiful 50mm lens into my asking price too.
It was a good day! And Pep-- I got a really good deal. :)
It all happened so fast! Of course I killed the battery on the way home from Manchester so once we got home I felt like a impatient little kid as I waited for the battery to charge.

The next day after work is when the fun started.. fun, as in me throwing things onto my window sill to take pictures in the last minutes of day light.

It's the worst picture in the world, but my brother REQUIRED a picture of my new bundle of joy.
Here's my new baby, the night I got her.

SO EXCITED!

december.

I love december. It's my favorite month of the year, as it should be! You have to save the best for last, right?! The twinkling lights, cold weather and all the christmas programs on tv are contagious and just make me all happy and excited for this time of year. I find myself having a sudden urge to curl up on the couch and break out my knitting once again!
Oh snowy weather and Christmas I love you! :)

My parents arrived on Friday and when my mama suggested that they help put up our tree, I ran to turn the Christmas music on and Thomas started unpacking all the Christmas stuff.

It was pure joy.

while we wait for photos.. let's look at some!

Oh my goodness, how can I even start to describe our wedding? I can't really, thinking back at that day I find myself just smiling, it was magic and so perfect. So obviously I'm so impatiently waiting for our professional pictures. I'm so excited to get those that I can't even stand it! So to help with my need for pictures I've been bugging just about anyone who will let me and getting a random collection of pictures from my friends, to help ease the waiting game. :)

So let's look at some pretty pictures from our pretty day!

Hiding out in pretty much a closest from Thomas right before we all walked down the aisle. I'll love this picture forever. :) Thanks Dad.

wedding showers galore!

I can't even believe how many wedding and bridal showers we've had. I seriously can't get over how much love and gratitude Thomas and I have felt leading up to this wedding. It's just unreal. September was such a blur, I think we had only one weekend where we didn't have anything planned and we both ended up having to work over the weekend. But! I wanted to make sure I posted these wedding and bridal shower photos since we're only one week away!!

Thomas' family threw me such a cute bridal shower. I even had my own wedding dress cupcake cake!

How cute is that?

my mama and dad came down for the weekend as well and it was so fun having them meet all of Thomas' family too. :)

We seriously got so much stuff.. here's Thomas and I will our haul from the shower before loading up the car..

The following weekend Thomas' parents church threw us a shower as well! We went up and stayed the weekend with his folks and had such a good and relaxing time with them.

It was so sweet to see how much thought and detail the ladies of the church put in to our decorations. Thomas and I were both so touched. My favorite was this K and T that they made with maps:

Not only are they maps which I love, but they made sure to get out birth places for each. They stuck a map pin in Denver for me and Nashville for Thomas.
I just love them and  I can't wait to find a spot to hang these up in our apartment.
so sweet!

The hearts on the wall were made from maps as well, and they also came up with this cute and clever guest book for us, another thing I'm so excited to hang up in the apartment

It was such a great time. I was so touched by all the people who came to celebrate us. Thomas and I both left feeling so loved and just down right grateful!

my amazing bridal shower.

I have some pretty amazing family members. When Thomas and I got engaged a part of me was really sad that I lived so far away from my family that I wasn’t going to be able to share in their joy and celebrate right there with them while we planned the wedding. I couldn’t have been more mistaken.

My bridal shower from my Aunties and my Maid of Honor was truly an act of love. They pour so much detail and time into making a day all about Thomas and I that have a hard time even expressing how grateful I am that their in my life.

Not only did I feel so loved by my wonderful hostess but by so many of my friends and family who showed up and even made the trip to Denver so that we could all celebrate together.

Looking back on my shower I’m still just so overwhelmed by how much love I felt from each and every person there. I’m so lucky to be apart of this family.

I wouldn't trade them for the world.
